Meet Your Doula

Hi there!

My name is Anastasia and I am a Certified Holistic Doula trained by Doula Canada. I am also receiving my credentials from Still Birthday where I will receive elaborate training on how to work effectively with families who experienced still birth and pregnancy and infant loss. I currently serve the GTA and surrounding areas.  I am a wife and mother of a robust 2-year-old daughter.

I’ve always had a heart for children. I accumulated over 10 years of experience while serving the community in extracurricular youth programs and employment catered to working with youth of various ages and walks of life.  I have over 3 years of postpartum support experience and 2 years of birth and labor support experience.

Birthing my daughter ignited the zeal  for me to pursue this doula journey. Pregnancy gives me joy, but what elevates that joy is empowering a mother to bring that life into the world.  I come from a family background where labour resorted to trauma or unnecessary intervention. My goal was to escape that cycle for myself and then provide knowledge to other women to decrease their chances of a negative birthing and postpartum experience.  I do this by helping my client write their story though providing evidence-based information/ techniques, emotional reassurance, and physical support.

Pregnancy and motherhood should not be a life event that is stigmatized by fear.  I love empowering and guiding mothers to find the grit that’s needed to endure some of the challenges that is encountered in every stage of motherhood. My aim is to assist them in their journey of motherhood and to help them feel like a champ while doing it.

Regardless of whether your delivery is in a hospital, birthing Centre or a home birth, medicated or unmedicated, c-section or vaginal, I will be by your side throughout the process. I also offer postpartum support. So when you need additional support at home while getting adjusted to your new blessing, I will be another reassuring hand to help support you and your family while you recover.

You may wonder what I’m doing when I’m not engaged in birth work, right?

Well, you can find me academically assisting those with special needs and behavioral students, working out in the gym, traveling (or at least day dreaming of it) and/or spending quality time with my family.

With all that being said, I look forward to meeting you and gaining your trust as your provider on your journey!

Motivation comes from within — and I’m here to help you activate it.

Repeat after me: " I have the GRIT to see this through!"
Let me reassure you of this during your journey.
